STEP 3: Choosing an AI
If you want the best experience and higher quality output:
- You should consider a subscription to Cursor or Claude
However, if our goal is to build a site for free:
- Use the free versions of Claude, v0, or Gemini - they all handle website creation perfectly
When you hit the usage limits on one AI, simply copy your website code and paste it into another AI
It will immediately recognize your site and continue working from there.
You can always copy or download the code directly from the chat with the AI agent
This way, you aren't held back by limits and can keep making edits
STEP 4: Refining the Design
Once you have a draft of your site, start editing it to your taste
Pro tip: Try to group all your ideas into a single prompt to save your message credits.
You can add anything: link, photos, animation and so on
Always use phrases like:
*"Come up with and add something unique of your own choice to make the site even better"*
High-quality AI will always understand exactly what you need
STEP 5: Publishing for Free
Once the site is ready, you need to share it
To do this, download the code (you can ask the AI to provide it as a file)
Then, upload/paste it into Replit or v0
These platforms offer a free option to publish your site (usually a Publish button in the top right)
You will get a unique link to your website that you can share with anyone!
If you want a custom domain and hosting, it will cost about $8/year
It’s very affordable, but for learning purposes, free hosting is more than enough.
